I don't have anything important to say. Now normally this doesn't stop me, but lately it has for some reason. That is all.
Oh, and i can't wait till Chicky gets here. I guess that is important. And tonight is my last night in the dorms FOREVER!

So, the most random thing happened to me this Wednesday night. I get back to my room after playing basketball and there's a message on my answering machine. "Hi. This is a message for Amy. My name is Jay and i'm a marketer for Hardee's restaurant." HUH? So, turns out that about a month ago Staci and Mom were at Hardee's and put my name in a raffle drawing to win two tickets to the Peoira Rivermen and to meet the guy who played Pedro on Napoleon Dynamite. AND I WON!
So, on Friday MaryBeth and I went over to Peoria to meet Pedro. We were a little nervous because we didn't know what to say to him but he was so nice and funny. There were about thirty other winners there and we all got a complimentary picture of him (totally printed off the computer haha!) He signed our pictures and wrote on mine, "To Amy: will you go to the prom with me?" (I said yes by the way) On MaryBeth's he wrote something about the Holy Santinos protecting her...we didn't really get it. Then he said that they are coming out with Pedro cereal. Yum huh? THEN he asked us if we wanted to go clubbing with him after the game but we just giggled and said we were too young.
The game was really exciting too. I cheered on my main man Buckley of course. He's the team captain and number 7. MaryBeth picked number 8, Morgan who ended up being the assistant captain. She thinks we should make t-shirts that say "I heart Bucky Beaver" and "I heart Manly Morgan." They played Iowa who was a pretty good team (look at me talking like i know anything about hockey. haha!) They ended up having a shoot out like on D2 with Iceland and Gunner Stahl (woo woo!) Iowa won but overall it was a great game...especially the part where we ate dippin dots.

I just got this random message on Facebook from this guy named Steve Jarvis whom i've never seen/heard of in my entire life...
"Looking for 2 people for a Summer/Fall/Spring lease. 315 a month, all utilities included, except cable/internet, which will be approx. 20 dollars. The apartment is 4-bedroom, one bath and is located near Mullberry and Linden. If you are interested, message me back and let me know. I also need you to sign the lease by Saturday March 4th."
I was like Wha??? So, like a good facebook addict i looked him up and read his profile...
"I am a Sports Fanatic. Love the Cubs, Bears, Bulls and Notre Dame Football. I am one who is an ILLNI and TARHEEL Basketball Fan. I graduated from Lincoln College and currently at ISU. I enjoy going to sporting events, hanging out with friends, rooting against the Cardinals, White Sox and Yankees, and drinking with my roomates. I played football in high school. Mike Ditka is God."
Well, you know me and how much i LOVE sports. I'm just so naturally athletic and all so i thought maybe he would be a good roommate. What do you guys think of him?
Seems like a winner. Maybe i'll go sign that lease.
PS This just reaffirms my belief that Facebook = Stalker.net

"I understand how Scissors can beat Paper, and I get how Rock can beat Scissors, but there's no way Paper can beat Rock. Paper is supposed to magically wrap around Rock and immobilize it? Why can't Paper do this to scissors too? Screw scissors, why can't Paper do this to people? Why aren't sheets of college ruled notebook paper suffocating students as they attempt to take notes in class? I'll tell you why, because paper can't beat anybody, a rock would tear that crap up in 2 seconds. When I play rock/paper/scissors I always choose Rock. Then when somebody claims to have beaten me with their paper I can punch them in the face with my already clenched fist and say, oh crap, I'm sorry, I thought paper would protect you, you idiot." HAHAHA

So, this weekend I went to a conference on how to witness to cults at Purdue, a Glee Club Concert at Michigan State University (bow ties and tail coats! YAY!), rode the "people mover" in Detroit, and played on a playground in Canada. I love college.

We had the ISU YG Valentine's Day diner last night at the cabin. My favorite parts were the pink bow-ties and Doug's David Thames impression. The guys did an awesome job. I was so impressed with everything. The food was great and we each got a candle with our name on it. Also, each girl got a short list of things the guys appreciate about them. These were mine...
Amy, we love;
Your pimped-out ride
How fun you are to hang around with
Your flag football skills, remember just the flag, Amy, just the flag
Your excellent sense of humor

I never thought i would say this but i have found a new love. A love of high heels. Yes, i only have one pair of half inch heels and they're the 1st pair i've ever owned, but as i walked around down-town Chicago in them on Tuesday i realized how fun they are. It's not really the extra height because i like being short. It's the clicking. Click Click Click. It's like your own arrival announcement! Wow, I think Shelli is rubbing off on me. She's got me wearing heels and buying organic carrots. But i'm rubbing off on her too. She took a nap the other day for the first time since we've lived together.

Ducky is totally obsessed with airplanes and buses. Every time we drive by a bus she has to scream "bus bus bus!!!" So, i thought it would be fun to take her for a ride since i get on free with my student ID. So on Friday i went over there and Jen and I walked her to the corner and waited with her, hyping her up for a bus ride. So after way too many minutes out in the cold the bus came over the hill and Ducky screamed and clapped her hands and she and i got on. She loved it! Bus rides are so much more exciting through the eyes of a child. We rode it back to my dorm and we played for a while in my room and i showed her off to all my friends. However, like usual, "Aunt Mamie" wasn't paying attention to time and we missed the bus back. So i called Jen and she had to come pick us up and i had to tell Ducky that the buses were broken. I felt so terrible. She was so disapointed and kept asking me "Bus broken? bus broken?" But I'm planning on taking her again some time, but i think i'll wait till it's a little warmer outside.
